Use you mobile phone to speed up taking sales orders and more for free

In this case I am not talking about paying for software to directly link to your accounts system, but using that powerful computer in your hand, your phone, as more than just a mobile phone and using more features in your phone that can save you time and money.

  • Get Sales Orders back to your office immediately

If you hand write sales order dockets and then phone in the order to your back room sales staff, then why not take a photo of the docket you wrote out and email it back to your sales office. This saves you a phone call and the office sales staff can avoid misinterpreting what you say on the phone.

  • Collect information about what your wants

Take a photo of what a customer is using and let someone in the sales office find the product for you. No trying to describe it over the phone.

  • Never lose your expense paper claims

Take a photocopy of you expenses (till receipts) so you don’t lose them and you will be able to claim all expenses. You can email the accounts department the image of the till receipt, so they can have a copy.

You don’t need to spend money on additional accounts software modules. This also allows you to get a feel for what modules you really need as your business grows. This may lead to taking orders on tablet computers or carrying brochures on a tablet instead of paper brochures and filing expenses online with faster payment of expenses to you.
